The hosting services provided by Crescom are available individually or as a tailored package. The services are designed to ensure high levels of availability and security for corporate information systems.
 
 
Modern data centres
 
The reliability of Crescom’s hosting and management services is based on data centres that meet all the requirements of the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority. Physical security and reliability is ensured by intrusion detection and prevention systems, fire protection systems, access control, UPS and backup generators. Critical components, such as data cables, are redundant.
 
Server Hosting – hosting client-owned equipment in Crescom data centres
 
Virtual Server – providing Crescom-owned server resources or dedicated servers for use by clients in Crescom’s data centres
 
Storage Capacity – providing completely fault-tolerant SAN storage capacity as a service
 
 
Proactive maintenance
 
High availability of information systems and networks is ensured by continuous monitoring and proactive maintenance. Continuous monitoring involves collecting information on the status of the different systems and handling alarms that indicate potential problems. Most problems can be addressed before they do any harm. In the event of unanticipated problems, continuous monitoring helps to find the cause and to take immediate corrective action exactly where needed.
 
Maintenance services are designed for continuous proactive maintenance of application and file servers to improve their availability and performance as well as for business continuity and fast disaster recovery.

Performance, security, reliability
 
The security of servers located in Crescom’s data centres is ensured by firewalls and VPN/VLAN solutions, all of which are included in the service package. The traffic management services provided by Crescom guarantee uncompromised security and availability of network services as well as short response times during peak traffic volume. Backup services for servers and databases are provided as agreed with the client. Managed security is available to ensure the security of the client’s private networks.
